If You could go back in time

Script:If you could go back in time If you could go back in time, what would you do? I’ve thought about this subject on many of my motorcycle rides and have various ideas of what I would do. From the simple like, when I passed a broken down motorist on the side of the road just the other day, I should have stopped and asked if they needed help. So, I decided the next time I see one, I’ll stop, even if they say don’t need help, at least I know that I tried. If I could go back to November 22, 1963 Dallas TX., I would stop the assassination of JFK. Think of how different our country would be if he had the opportunity to serve out his term as President. If I could go back to September 1, 1939 and stop the German invasion of Poland and convince the Empire of Japan not to try and dominate the Pacific and Asia by means of war. Think of how many more grandfathers would have been around to see their grandchildren grow up or imagine that the Holocaust didn’t happen. If I could go back to June 28, 1914 and stop the assassination of Archduke Ferdinand of Austria which was said to be the catalyst that started WWI one month later. What would Europe look like today? If I could go back to 79 AD, I would warn ancient Romans about Mt Vesuvius’s impending eruption. Think of how many lives would have been saved in just 4 different days in history. But, since we can’t go back in time yet, do something now, today or tomorrow or next week. Even if it is the littlest thing, it CAN and will have an impact. Help someone with their groceries; let that car coming along side you, into traffic and wave to them. Say Hello. Take a walk around your neighborhood, and if you see a bit of trash, pick it up, this is where you live. You’d be surprised at how a simple act of kindness or voluntary responsibility can become infectious and all for the better of everyone. AND, if all else fails, do what I do, I take a ride on my motorcycle to clear my head.
